Let’s learn about space and satellite systems!

We developed this kit with the hopes to put a satellite into everyone’s hand without being too engineering in details and without the exhorbant pricing of traditional satellite components and kits. This kit would provide a platform to demonstrate core systems needed in a satellite system and support early stage awareness of space, space technology and management. We’ve picked the Micro:bit to help teach the lessons.

The kit includes:

• Microbit starter kit

• Space Ops Picosat frame

• Space Ops Carrier Board

• Space Ops Prototyping Module

• Space Ops Sensing Module #2 - temperature, humidity, lux sensor

This kit makes use of the Micro:bit’s unique design for slot loading which allows us to remove the need for alligator clips that can break or become confusing. This design makes lessons much simplier with an entire sensing lesson into a neat plug and play sensor module.

We will be producing more Sensing Modules to further expand this platform’s uses, but we are welcome to hearing from you, the public, of ideas and concepts that you would find a need for on Earth.
